Pink October Update

We are thrilled to share that Yuba-Sutter Pink October is expected to raise $125,000 for the Geweke's Caring for Women Foundation in 2013!  To date, the Foundation has financially assisted 36 women who are fighting breast cancer along with donated $50,000 towards Rideout Health and new breast imaging equipment to be place in the new hospital expected to open in early 2015.  This year, approximately 600 low-cost mammograms were performed with our medical partners through Pink October along with 250 $5 well-women health screenings.

At this year's events, the Geweke's also shared the news that their foundation will expand their mission to also financially assist local women who are fighting Cervical, Uterine or Ovarian cancers.  Since 2008, Pink October has raised $577,054.43 for the Geweke's Caring for Women Foundation to assist women in our local community.  That's an AMAZING amount!
